My refrigerator is not cold enough

There are many checks to make first before calling service regarding the temperature of your refrigerator that you can perform on your own at home.

First things first make sure that when you close the door the lights go out properly. Next make sure that there are no abnormalities with the gaskets and that the doors are closing properly. Check to see if the fans are running properly in the freezer. If you feel cool air circulating then you do not have to worry about the motors and we can move to the next section.

The most common issue when it comes to refrigerators not cooling properly is a clogged condenser coil .If you haven’t dusted the condenser coils, the fridge can overheat because it’s overworking. The condenser coils should be cleaned once a year, and if you have an animal in the house with longer hair then maybe more often like around every 6 months. By cleaning these coils can help save energy and make the life of the unit last longer because it will run better and more efficiently. Simply, unplug it and remove the grille. Either wipe the coils with a rag or Vacuum up any loose debris and dust. This can be a quick and easy fix.
