APPLE PIE BITES

Are you looking for something quick, easy, and delicious for those days where you want to make something that will wow everyone, but you don’t have the time or energy? Well these Apple pie bites are the way to go.  These mini apple pies are made with Pillsbury crescent rolls, and go from prep to table in 30 minutes or less! Today I was working with our Dacor rep, and I was going to show her how fast and simple these were to make, so we went to the supermarket picked up a few things and got started.  First thing first we preheated the Dacor wall oven to 350 degrees on the pure convection mode, which is perfect for multi rack cooking.  We used 4 sheet trays for 24 pie bites that we lined with parchment paper to save ourselves the clean up we would have later.  We sliced up our apples and melted the butter in Dacor convection microwave using the easy minute button.  We then spread the brown sugar apple pie spice mixture over the crescent roll triangles, dipped the apple slices in the butter and sprinkled chopped pecans over the top of the entire triangle.  Then we rolled them all up just like you would the regular crescent rolls and brushed each with the remaining butter and sprinkled some apple pie spice and granulated sugar over the top.  They were ready to bake so we placed the 4 sheet trays in the oven and set the timer for 10 minutes.  After ten minutes we checked them and put them on for another two minutes till they turned a nice golden brown.  Waiting the five minutes to let them cool, felt like forever!   Once they cooled off we plated and served them.  Yummy in my tummy!
